Activity Centre policy out for comment

A long anticipated review of State Planning Policy 4.2: Activity Centres has progressed, with a revised version out for public consultation.

The revised policy proposes to expand the application of current requirements to the Bunbury region. It currently only applies to the Perth Metropolitan and Peel areas.

It also contains an increased focus on sustainability measures, closer alignment to the Design WA program of work and clarity around the development of METRONET precincts.

Property Council WA engagement with the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage has revealed that the revised policy will also take into account the finalised Precinct Design policy. This is important for clarifying what is within scope of each policy, as well as understanding how different types of mixed used developments will be treated

Member feedback on this policy and how it will impact your business is welcome, with submissions due to DPLH by mid-February 2021.

You can provide your thoughts to Property Council WA via email.
