Arden Vision & Framework 

Planning for the Arden precinct has begun, with the release of a draft Vision and Framework which predicts the area will be home to 15,000 residents and 34,000 jobs by 2051.

The document outlines a plan to transform the urban renewal area into a distinctive central city destination with a major employment hub based on knowledge industries.

The draft document set out five strategic directions to guide future planning as well as ten propositions as a foundation for change. These include two new urban boulevards that extend Queensberry and Fogarty streets into the new heart of Arden Central, as well as a focus on sustainability and the creation of a world class hub.

Consultation on the Draft Vision & Framework will end on Sunday, 23 October 2016.
