A message from the President – Steve Maras

There has never been a more important time for us as industry colleagues to pull in the same direction to ensure a competitive and prosperous future. 

Tax, planning, red tape, population and economic growth – all super important elements of our agenda. 

These are important challenges that need to be tackled to plot us on that pathway back to stronger growth. And with the Property Council representing our collective interests every step of the way, I can assure you that we’re on that path. 

Together, we boast many great individuals and many celebrated projects. The type of knowledge and success that can help strengthen our state’s economy. 

Part of this growth is also about professional development for our people and providing industry recognition for their meritorious achievements. 

This is essentially why the Property Council first established Invest SA 14 years ago – to provide an event at a location (out of town) where we can share strategies, grow professionally and also expand our networks. For these reasons, I would strongly encourage you to register for this flagship event, which takes place at Port Lincoln on 21-23 May. 

Similarly, we’ve also re-introduced a black-tie Gala Ball with state-based awards to help celebrate the success of our people. You’ll find more information in this month’s edition of Property South Australia. It’s a terrific opportunity to identify and celebrate the achievements of the people in your team.
