A message from the Chief Minister

The number one priority of the Territory Labor Government is to create local jobs. 

We have heard the business community loud and clear and our reshuffle of Ministerial portfolios is an opportunity to continue working with you to create a brighter future for the Territory. 

We know reducing red tape is important to the business community, and that’s why I am taking on the Business and Innovation portfolio, to work with business to cut red tape as matter of priority.

I will also take on the new Defence Jobs portfolio. With the first stages of a $20 billion defence investment in the NT rolling out, I want to make sure local business and local jobs come first.

I look forward to working with you all in 2019.
