A change for the better supports Small Business

A change for the better supports Small BusinessFrom January 1st this year, the changes to procurement policy require all agencies of the State Government to determine whether the goods or services they are purchasing can be sourced from within the State or region. This creates enormous opportunities for small business to benefit from these changes. This will mean the Meet the Buyer program will become even more important for local businesses to capitalise on these changes and to meet with key staff of agencies to promote their particular business. The Meet the Buyer initiative has been hugely successful with over 20 registrations from business owners/managers representing a wide range of industry sectors such as building & construction, creative industries, goods and services, and advanced technologies, as well as two successful regional events over the past twelve months. Meet the Buyer events are an important part of our Connecting with Business program supported by our tender ready workshops and advocacy services.Meet the Buyer Timetable Meet the Buyer events provide local businesses the opportunity to meet face to face with senior government buyers to present their capabilities and discuss how they can assist government agencies to meet their purchasing and contracting needs.
