The Queensland Government has released the 2021 Land Supply Development Monitoring (LSDM) Report.
The annual LSDM report, a key initiative of the 2017 ShapingSEQ Regional Plan, measures residential and industrial land supply, development activity and land and housing prices against benchmarks and employment planning baselines contained in ShapingSEQ. The results are based on data provided by local governments and utility providers.
The Property Council provided feedback on the draft 2021 LSDM Report and flagged concern regarding the disconnection between what members were experiencing on the ground and what is being reflected in the LSDM.
Housing affordability is a growing concern for the Property Council’s members. As such, the Property Council will look to provide further input when the State Government reviews the recommendations from the recent peer review of the LSDM Report.
