UBRC Study Tour coming in 2019

The term University Based Retirement Communityâ„¢, or UBRCâ„¢, was coined in 2006 by internationally recognised senior living expert Andrew Carle, Founding Director and Executive-in-Residence of the Program in Senior Housing Administration at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.

Today, UBRCsâ„¢ are among the fastest growing segment of the senior living industry, with communities affiliated with many of the United States leading universities and colleges.

Property Council members are invited to consider the 2019 SAGE study tour program, where particular interest is being given to two  programs around University Based Retirement Communitiesâ„¢.

The SAGE program will begin with a presentation of “UBRCsâ„¢: What You Need to Know”, personally delivered by Andrew Carle. This is followed by onsite visits and reviews of UBRCsâ„¢ identified by Mr Carle as best providing the active, intellectually stimulating, and intergenerational environments sought by today’s and tomorrow’s seniors.

During the SAGE program , delegates will learn the history of UBRCâ„¢ development in the United States, review current and future demand drivers, and criteria for success. The program will include visits to some of the most beautiful and historic university and college campuses in the US, tours of their affiliated UBRCâ„¢, and meetings with the alumni, community executives, and university officials who bring the community to life.

There is nothing else like the SAGE International tours available to Retirement living and Seniors Living providers. Property Council members joining a SAGE program have the opportunity to evaluate the advancement of retirement living and eldercare from a global perspective and receive insights from some of the world’s most highly respected industry professionals.

Successful SAGE study tours have been run since 2006 across five continents for over 4 Australian and international delegates. Over the past 12 years, SAGE Tours has built an enviable reputation as a world leader in its class.

Registrations are open for two great new UBRC programs to the USA in 2019.
