2018 Golf Challenge

On Friday 23 March, thirty-three teams of property professionals descended on the Brookwater Golf and Country Club course for the Property Council’s 2018 Golf Challenge.

Beyond the overall leader board, a number of smaller challenges faced the golfers – requiring a mixture of both luck and skill.

Christmas came early for Tony Dwyer of Ridgemill, who won two tickets to the Property Council’s 2018 Christmas Party after correctly deducing that 331,000 Queenslanders are employed by the state’s property industry.

Luke Robertson from Girvan Waugh was drawn from a hat to take home a Samsung ” TV, provided by hole sponsor Ooh! Media, after no golfer was able to hit the TV with their tee shot on the 3rd fairway.

Principal Sponsors Ridgemill kindly donated a putter for a nearest to the pin activity on Hole 5, which was won by Rob McEvoy from Charter Keck Cramer.

A business card draw on Hole 7 showcased the great work undertaken by the Property Industry Foundation (PIF). Dayan Jayasekera from SMEC was the lucky winner of two tickets to the PIF charity sailing regatta. 

Ridgemill measured the longest drive on Hole 8 in support of the YMCA. Ridgemill  kindly donated a golf bag won by David Goldfinch of Transact Services. 

SMEC awarded a bottle of wine to the winner of the nearest to pin second shot on Hole 15. This prize was won by Alistair Hall of ARUP. Alistair was also lucky enough to be drawn the winner a $200 Golf gift pack donated by Springfield City Group.

The straightest drive on Hole 12 was won by Tim McLaughlan, who took home a new putter and pitching wedge.

The team spirit prize was awarded to the team from the Port of Brisbane.

When the score cards were tallied, the overall winners were Team 3 from Springfield City Group, with the team from Ridgemill coming a close second.
