2016 Annual Downtown Christmas Party

Friday 2 December saw a record crowd of over 1480 fill the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre’s Great Hall for the Property Council’s 2016 Annual Downtown Christmas Party.

The industry’s biggest party was a welcome opportunity for members to kick off the festive season and reflect on the year that was.

After brief formalities, special guest Arj Barker brought down the house with his comedy routine that included some interesting references to our local landscape and buildings.

Throughout the lunch the Property Industry Foundation sold $34,200 worth of raffle tickets for the benefit of Act for Kids, a not-for-profit organisation working tirelessly to prevent and treat child abuse and neglect.

The industry Christmas Party would not have been possible without the sponsorship and support of Rider Levett Bucknall. RLB’s support over 11 consecutive years has enabled the annual celebration to become an indispensable industry institution.

At the conclusion of the lunch, the record crowd migrated to the Fox Hotel for the official After Party, sponsored by Deloitte Real Estate. 

The Property Council wishes all our members and supporters a very Merry Christmas and all the best for a successful and prosperous 2017.
