2015 GRESB Survey now openThe 2015 Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) Survey is currently open for submissions. Participation in the survey has grown by 220 per cent since its launch in 2009.Last year’s survey results confirmed Australia/New Zealand as the leading region in terms of overall performance, with Lend Lease and ISPT announced in a list of 11 global leaders..The GRESB for real estate portfolios, has assessed more than 1000 global property companies and funds and in 2014, GRESB covered 637 funds representing $2.1 trillion in property value. Australia had 44 participants, with a gross asset value of $131 billion.The 2015 Survey is aligned with international reporting frameworks, such as the Global Reporting Index, and explores:What sustainability related strategies and objectives are in place at the organisational level, and what actions have been taken to implement these strategies and to achieve the objectives? What environmental, social and governance policies are in place at both the organisational and portfolio level? What frameworks, standards and certification/rating schemes are used within the portfolio? Are risk and opportunity assessments performed at the portfolio level, and what are the actions taken? Are key environmental performance indicators measured and monitored within the portfolio, and what are consumption and emission levels? GRESB has developed new tools to streamline the survey process. All the relevant tools, including survey guidance and participant guide, can be accessed via the GRESB website.Submissions close on 1 July 2015.Prior to submission participants can request a Response Check. The deadline for Response Checks is June 15.
