2015 Golf Challenge127 golfers across 33 teams descended on the Greg Norman designed Brookwater Golf and Country Club for the Property Council of Australia’s 2015 Golf Challenge. Beyond the overall leader board, a number of smaller challenges faced the golfers – requiring a mixture of both luck and skill. The Hole 3 challenge, the Savills Remote Control Car Race, was won by Michael Ivey of Mitchell Brandtman, who edged out teammate Craig Sawford of Construct Law Group by three seconds. The Ridgemill Nearest the Pin Challenge on Hole 5 was won by Mitchell Bray of Arcadis. Thomas Prell of Opus won the Property Industry Foundation’s ‘Guess the number of Tees’ competition on Hole 7. Thomas picked 467 tees, the correct answer was 466. The longest drive on Hole 8 was by Ken Ng of Savills Project Management. The nearest the pin contest on Hole 9 was taken out by Paul Taylor from NAB. The Let Property Grow the Economy fairway challenge on Hole 10 was won by Clive Nichol of Barry Nilsson Lawyers, who was the only competitor to get a shot through the small frame on the fairway. Martin Ryan of Brisbane Airport Corporation has the straightest drive on Hole 12. The YMCA longest drive competition on Hole 13 was awarded to Dave Sallaway from Probuild. The team spirit prize was awarded to the team from Tomkins Commercial & Industrial Builders. When the score cards were tallied, Silverstone Developments had managed to defend their championship title, taking out both 1st and 2nd place on the leaderboard with their two teams. The Property Council would like to thank Principal Sponsor, Ridgemill, for their generous support of the event. The event would also not have been possible without the support of Hole Sponsors; Arcadis, KPMG SGA, Property Industry Foundation, Probuild, Savills, Tract, Buildcorp and Grand Central Cellars.
