2015 16 Committee Nominations Open

2015/16 Committee Nominations OpenThe WA Division of the Property Council is now calling for committee nominations for 2015/2016. Committees meet for an hour and a half on a six week cycle. The focus of these groups is to discuss industry issues, contribute to submissions and research, and further the Property Council’s advocacy agenda. Committee members are expected to attend and actively contribute to committee meetings, promote Property Council events and contribute to sub-committees when needed. The committees are:Commercial Property CommitteeThe committee’s focus is on the major legislative and economic issues that impact on the development, ownership and management of property as an asset class.Industrial Property CommitteeThe Industrial Property Committee is responsible for formulating operational and policy positions for the industrial property sector in WA.Planning & Urban Economics CommitteeThe committee’s focus is on the major legislative and economic issues that impact on the development, ownership and management of property as an asset class.Residential CommitteeAddresses legislative, social & economic issues affecting high density residential development in WA. Identifies networking, advocacy & research needs in the residential sector & coordinates events, products & services.Retail Management CommitteeCoordinates information forums, discusses operational and policy issues relevant to shopping centre management in WA.Retirement Living CommitteeCoordinates information forums, discusses operational and policy issues relevant to retirement villages in WA.Sustainable Development CommitteeTo change market behaviour in Western Australia towards more environmentally sustainable practices by educating businesses on how to achieve environmental, social and economic benefits.Education Committee
