Smart, strategic advice recognised with property award
With a smart, strategic approach to property law, and a commitment to the Canberra community, Archie Tsirimokos’ efforts have been recognised with the 2014 Allan Wylucki Property Professional of the Year Award.
Widely recognised as one of Canberra’s most experienced property lawyers, Managing Partner of Meyer Vandenberg Lawyers, Archie has a loyal client base that includes some of the ACT’s largest corporate developers, investors and financial institutions.
The prestigious award, sponsored by Hays Property, was presented to Archie at the Property Council of Australia ACT Awards Night and Gala Ball 2014 at Parliament House on Friday 1 August.
Archie has acted for numerous property developers on the acquisition of land, project structuring, construction contracts, tax considerations and sale of residential and commercial property developments.
“Archie is well-known and respected within the industry, and has a long-standing reputation for his business acumen, strategic thinking and exceptional depth of knowledge about the local property industry,” said the Property Council ACT Executive Director, Catherine Carter.
Archie has an abiding commitment to the Canberra community. As Chairman of Communities @ Work, Canberra’s largest not-for-profit provider of services to the community, Archie has expanded the organisation’s turnover by $26 million a year.
Earlier this year, Archie was appointed as the Australasian Chair of the ALFA Network, the regional arm of Meyer Vandenberg’s worldwide referral network of independent law firms representing some 10,000 lawyers.
The Property Professional of the Year Award recognises individuals who demonstrate outstanding performance in their profession, and honours the contribution of Allan Wylucki. A Principal at McCann Property & Planning and the author of the ACT Office Market Report for 10 years, Allan made an outstanding contribution to Canberra’s property industry. A mentor and friend to many, Allan passed away in August 2002 after a long battle with cancer.
