100 Women in Property Networking
Participants and sponsors in the Property Council’s 100 Women in Property initiative were invited to a special networking event on Wednesday 9 November, featuring a keynote presentation from Dr Corinne Manning, Deputy Director Diversity & Inclusion at La Trobe University, and former advisor to the previous Chief of Army, Lt Gen David Morrison.
The networking event, held at The George on Eagle Street, provided guests with the opportunity to hear from Corinne on her experiences and successes across a number of different roles.
Through sharing her journey of leading the army’s response to the 2012 Defence Culture review, Corinne provided the audience with a number of recommendations and strategies to further diversity across the industry, as well as sharing tactics to progress as an individual within an organisation.
Corinne reinforced the value of translatable skills, with her former career as an academic historian setting her up for success when transitioning into the vastly different area of defence.
The national 100 Women in Property program, sponsored by The GPT Group, provides an opportunity for female participants to grow their industry networks, gain visibility in their organisation, role model and advocate together with key influencers with a view to enhancing their future opportunities and career growth.
