Colliers announced the appointment of Baird Mackie as National Director to its Tenant Advisory | Occupier Services team.
Based in the Melbourne CBD office, they will play a role in supporting occupier clients across Victoria and nationally, working in collaboration with Simon Crouch and the wider Tenant Advisory team.
Over the past few years, Mr Mackie has worked as a Leasing Director at The GPT Group, as well as the National Leasing Manager at Walker Corporation where he was involved in a number of significant office leasing transactions in Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide.
Colliers also announced the appointment of Richard Garing to its Australian Executive team as Managing Director of Occupier for Australia and will be based in Colliers’ Sydney CBD office.
He joins Colliers following 12 years at Dexus, where he was a member of the Office Executive team responsible for driving performance across the $24B office portfolio.
Keeping with Colliers, Lucy Mallick will be relocating to the Colliers Singapore office as International Capital Lead |Australia.
She will be reporting to Head of Office Capital Markets, Adam Woodward, and Singapore Managing Director, Bastiaan van Beijsterveldt. She will lead the growth given the significant demand within the Capital Markets sector for international capital to be placed in Australia, providing a Singapore based conduit for offshore capital to invest into the Australian real estate market.
HDR has appointed two new principals to steer its health and major projects capability, New Health Principal Conor Larkins (formerly BVN) and Major Projects Principal Zig Peshos (formerly BVN and Woods Bagot).
With 18 years’ experience working across health, science, education and research projects at BVN, Ms Larkins will head up HDR’s health sector and work closely with Directors Alan Boswell, Jacqui Straesser, Joe Mihaljevic, Karen Curtis and Vanessa Zakrzewski.
With experience leading major projects such as Atlassian Headquarters, Central Station Metro, the new Sydney Fish Market, Greenland Tower, Wynyard Walk, Two Melbourne Quarter, and Brisbane Square, Mr Peshos will exercise his knowhow in project team management, change management, design development, documentation and delivery to embed innovative structures and systems that enable design teams to thrive.
JLL announced the appointment of Jamie Horton as Senior Consultant for its NSW Tenant Representation business. He will be responsible for covering the CBD and Northern Sydney and metro market.
Prior to joining JLL, he served as a key member of the Cadigal Office Leasing team since 2017. He has also held similar positions at Savills and CBRE.
Architectus announced the appointment of Infrastructure Principal Dean Symington.
He brings over 15 years’ experience to Architectus, specialising in industrial and commercial projects. Working across a diverse portfolio, he has led the design and delivery of national data centres and large-scale logistics and distribution facilities for technology, retail and manufacturing clients.
Mr Symington has overseen and contributed to major strategic infrastructure initiatives throughout Australia, for clients including NEXTDC, Equinix, Microsoft, Amazon and the Department of Defence.
Private credit funds specialist Global Credit Investments announced the expansion of the team behind its Real Estate Capital Solutions with the appointment of Robert Grajczyk as Investment Director.
