Woods Bagot has announced the appointment of Sarah Kay to the position of CEO.

Sarah succeeds Nik Karalis as CEO after his nine-year tenure and heralds a new chapter for the firm, which was founded in 1869 in Australia.

Sarah has been a member of the Woods Bagot leadership group for 25 years and a director for 15 years. Sarah has led and designed high-profile projects and integrated precincts across commercial, transport, residential and culture sectors. Most recently, Sarah has led Woods Bagot’s Sydney studio, a role she has also held in New York.

RCP Australia has announced Greg Atkinson will step into the role of Managing Director from 1 July 2024. This follows the announcement that Russell Martoo will be retiring later this year after an impressive 40 years with RCP, and over 35 years as its Managing Director.

Based in Brisbane, Greg Atkinson has over 20 years’ experience in the property and construction industry, with 18 of those years at RCP.

Cundall has announced the appointment of Madlen Jannaschk to the role of ESG Director for the global business. This new position will lead the evolution and implementation of the consultancy’s own environmental, social and governance (ESG) policies, action, and reporting.

She previously held the role of ESG Lead for Asia-Pacific. For Asia-Pacific ESG clients there is also good news, Alex Stathakis has joined the Australian business as Associate – ESG.

Alex holds qualifications including Bachelor of Business Management, Master of Business and Master of Technology & Innovation Management and is also one of only a handful of approved Airport Carbon Accreditation verifiers in Asia-Pacific.

Architectus has announced new appointments to its senior leadership team. 

Ruth Wilson will become its new Sector Leader Public, Amanda Kershaw will become its new Sector Leader Rail and Connie Argyrou was welcomed into the Principal cohort.

Emily Young has taken up a new position as Director at Purple leading the Property and Infrastructure Team.

Scentre Group announced that Stephen McCann has retired from the Board to take up the position of Group Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, The Star Entertainment Group.

Ingenia Communities Group announced an update on the Group’s process of Board renewal. As announced last month, Shane Gannon and Simon Shakesheff have been appointed to the Board.

As part of the ongoing Board renewal process, director, Sally Evans, has announced she will not seek re-election at the Annual General Meeting in November.

Knight Frank, together with Bayleys, have announced completion of their joint acquisition of Australian residential real estate group, McGrath Limited, having finalised the acquisition of a controlling stake in the company by way of a scheme of arrangement.

McGrath’s new board of directors will comprise McGrath founder and CEO John McGrath, Knight Frank Australia CEO James Patterson, Knight Frank Global Head of Residential Rupert Dawes, Bayleys Managing Director Mike Bayley and Bayleys Finance Director Ken MacRae. John McGrath will continue on at McGrath as Chief Executive and Managing Director and will retain his 23.3 per cent shareholding in the company.

Adrian Harrington has started a new position as Non-Executive Director at the Subruban Land Agency.
