Property advisory firm Slattery has appointed David Martin Chief Executive Officer heralding a new era of growth.

He takes the reins from Sarah Slattery, who has led the firm for the past seven years.

Sarah will step into a new role as Director of Partnerships and Innovation and will remain on Slattery’s Board.

Martin has more than 25 years’ experience in leadership and executive management roles across a diverse range of industries.

A qualified engineer, David was CEO of global architecture practice Buchan Group for three years and most recently, as CEO of property valuation and consulting firm M3 Property.

MRI Software announced two appointments to its Asia-Pacific executive team. Dr Sarah Bell joins as Director of Strategic Partnerships, and Audrey Nicoll as Senior Director of Growth and Marketing, effective immediately.

Dr Sarah Bell was previously Principal, Innovation and Industry at CoreLogic and co-founder of RiTA, an Artificial Intelligence platform. She continues as an active Board Member for the RiSE Initiative, of which MRI Software is a long-term supporter.

Audrey Nicoll has more than 20 years’ experience leading global marketing teams in the US, Australia, and the UK, most recently at PropTech Group (PTG) until it was acquired by MRI Software last year.

DJAS Architecture has announced Catherine Carter as its new CEO after an interim period.

In addition to her role as CEO, Catherine is the Founder and Director of think-tank Salon Canberra, an Adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Arts and Design at the University of Canberra, and a passionate advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion

JLL’s Hotels & Hospitality Group announced the appointment of Ben McDonald as Managing Director – Head of Pubs, Investment Sales, Australasia.

Based in Sydney, he will report to Nihat Ercan, CEO, JLL’s Hotels & Hospitality Group, Asia Pacific.

Ben transitions to the new position from the role of Executive Vice President and NSW State Head where he led a team of six brokers and oversaw key operations and marketing functions. Ben joined JLL in June 2020 as Senior Vice President. Prior to JLL, he worked for CBRE in variety of roles focusing on pub sales in Australia upon joining in 2006.

Louise Vangestel, Village Manager for The Manor at Tarragal Glen Retirement Village, has been awarded by Adam Crouch MP Terrigal Woman of the Year for her work with the Department of Justice (DCJ) and Aboriginal youth from the Frank Baxter Correctional Centre based at Kariong.

Chris Marais recently celebrated 30 years with Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB).

Chris began his journey with RLB Queensland in 1994 at the Brisbane office. After four years, he was given the opportunity to manage the Townsville office. Under his leadership, the Townsville office thrived despite challenging market conditions, establishing itself as the leading cost consultant in North Queensland.

In 2007, Chris was appointed RLB Oceania Board Director. In 2013, he became Chair of the Global Marketing and Advisory Committee (GMAC). In 2023, Chris was appointed as an RLB Global Board Director. He continues to serve as the Director for Global, Oceania, and Queensland; Chairman of the Global Marketing Committee; and head of RLB’s latest global initiative, The Values Project.
