The Hon Julie Collins MP, Minister for Housing, Homelessness & Small Business delivering the keynote address for the Property Leaders' Summit gala dinner.

A cracking start to June. Our bespoke Canberra Property Leaders’ Summit (PLS) hosted 200 industry leaders and experts in conversation with political leaders from across the Federal Parliament.

The Hon Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles MP, The Hon Leader of the Opposition Peter Dutton MP, The Hon Minister Jason Clare MP, The Hon Minister Chris Bowen MP, The Hon Minister Julie Collins MP, The Hon Shadow Minister Michael Sukkar MP, Allegra Spender MP and Senator David Pocock as well as the Hon Kim Beazley, were among those who joined us to engage in discussions about capital markets, industry’s contribution to thought leadership and to communities.

We continued to champion better planning, state accountability for housing delivery and fewer harmful taxes on investment as well as the passage of the Housing Australia Future Fund.

The jewel in the PLS crown was the induction of Nigel Satterley AM and Joan Cordell into the Australian Property Hall of Fame at the gala dinner in the Great Hall, Parliament House. I thank President Michael O’Brien and our board alongside Darren Steinberg and the Selection Advisory Committee for their successful deliberations on this vital recognition of industry leaders.

Thanks to our principal sponsor Commonwealth Bank of Australia, as well as our esteemed leading sponsors, all summit participants and our terrific staff teams led jointly by Antony Knep and Sophie Gazzoli.

My final thanks to Property Leaders’ Summit Committee Chair, Antony Green of Macquarie Capital. A terrific ten-year innings. Elections notwithstanding, you will always be the most important Antony Green to us mate.
