Home National Retirement Living Summit Tamar Krebs
Tamar Krebs is passionate about doing dementia differently. Fuelled by a deep sense of purpose, Tamar founded Group Homes Australia in 2011, with a philosophy centered around creating small, intimate household environments that are integrated into local communities.
Tamar holds qualifications including Bachelor of Science, Master of Health Service Management, and various certificates in the study of Gerontology. She is recognised as a person that understands the human needs of those living beyond a diagnosis of dementia. Tamar is a sought-out keynote speaker, panellist, and media commentator.
In 2022, Tamar produced three sold-out performances of To Whom I May Concern™—a compelling theatre piece created and performed by people with lived experience, sharing their stories in their own words. Presented in collaboration with the Australian Chamber Orchestra, the production is equal parts educational, humorous, and heartwarming.
Tamar’s mission is to reshape perceptions of dementia and challenge the way society understands and talks about it.
