Judy Mayfield is the current President of the Association of Residents of Qld Retirement Villages, a position she has held for 10 years.  The ARQRV is a volunteer support and advocacy service for people living in a retirement village in Qld and provides information and education for both residents and residents’ committees, as well as dealing with disputes between residents and operators.

During her working life Judy held various positions in the community sector including State Director of Education for Relationships Australia, Manager for a number of programs at Kyabra Community Association and prior to her retirement she was, for twelve years, the  CEO of a supported accommodation service for people with an intellectual disability, a position that was both challenging and rewarding.

Now retired, Judy is actively involved in the retirement living sector and works proactively with both government and industry to ensure that people living in a retirement village enjoy a lifestyle that is both supportive and stress free as they age. She has a keen and personal interest in both community and residential aged care services.
