James is the Executive Director of the DCM Institute, Australia’s leading professional development body for retirement village and community living professionals. With over 20 years of experience in the seniors living sector, James has led operations for both large and small operators.

Throughout his career, James has demonstrated a deep commitment to a resident-focused approach, working tirelessly to establish, improve, and transform retirement communities for some of Australia’s top owners and operators.

James holds a Master’s Degree in Commerce and Economics from the University of New South Wales, with an advanced specialisation in Human Resource Management. He is a former member of the NSW Retirement Living Council and continues to contribute to various sector committees. James is also a regular speaker at national industry events, including the DCM Institute’s Village Summit and the Leaders Summit, where he shares insights on leadership, community engagement, and the evolving role of village professionals.
