Nominations for People and Project awards will close at midnight on 11 October 2024.

Nominations for Development awards will close at midnight on 15 November 2024

All entries will be reviewed and scored by the national judging panel.

People awards

Entries in the People categories will be shortlisted and progressed to the next stage for an interview with our judging panel. Interviews will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams.

For Village Manager and Salesperson of the Year Awards, shortlisted nominees will be contacted for an interview which will be scheduled to take place in November 2024. This interview will determine the regional finalists.

Regional finalists will be in the running for the Village Manager of the Year for the respective region. Regional winners will be announced at Property Council state retirement events scheduled to be held from February to March 2025. Winners announced at each state event will go in the running for the national title, to be announced at the National Retirement Living Awards Gala Dinner on Thursday 19 June 2025 in Brisbane.

Fur Future Leader of the Year, interviews will be conducted to determine a shortlist of national finalists. Finalists will be announced in March 2025 with the winner to be announced at the National Retirement Living Awards Gala Dinner on Thursday 19 June 2025 in Brisbane.

Project awards

Entries in the Project awards will be reviewed by the national judging panel. Finalists will be announced in March 2025 with the winner to be announced at the National Retirement Living Awards Gala Dinner on Thursday 19 June 2025 in Brisbane.

Development awards

As part of the judging process, entries will require an inspection by judges. For the first time since the COVID pandemic, inspections will be conducted in person. Nominees will be contact in January 2025 to schedule an inspection date and time. Inspections will be held in February 2025. Finalists will be announced in March 2025, and winners will be announced at the National Retirement Living Awards Gala Dinner on Thursday 19 June 2025 in Brisbane.

All nominees will be contacted if their entry has not been shortlisted.

The cost to nominate are as follows:  

$250 for the People Awards:

  • Award for Village Manager of the Year
  • Award for Salesperson of the Year
  •  Award for Future Leader of the Year

$950 for a Development:

  • Award for Best Redevelopment
  • Award for Best New Development
  • Award for Revitalisation

$950 for a Project:

  • Award for Marketing Excellence
  • Award for Sustainability
  • Award for Innovation
Payment is required when you submit your official nomination through the online portal. Payment is required by credit card and is processed through our secure online payment gateway.

Yes, both the nominating company and the nominated person or project (if company is different to the nominator) must be a member of the Property Council of Australia.    
Read the relevant award category criteria before starting your online submission which are downloadable from our awards website.    TIP: Visit our website, go to Award Categories, then select the category you wish to nominate.

The category criteria documents provide a preview of the questions that will be asked as part of the online nomination form.  

TIP: Use the category criteria documents as a guide when collecting the information you need to complete the nomination form.

Images for the Development categories are mandatory to support the Quality and Design criteria.  

For all other categories, images are required to assist us in promoting your entry, should it be shortlisted as a finalist or eligible for the People’s Choice Award.

All required images must be submitted with the nomination, by the nomination deadline.

You can save your online nomination and come back to it later if you don’t have all the information you need to begin. You can sign-in to the portal using your user account at any time up until 11 October 2024 for People and Project Awards and 15 November 2024 for Development Awards, to complete and submit your nomination. 

Once you submit your entry, you can still print, review and edit your submission up until the dates above. 

Unfortunately, extensions will not be granted as judging will commence immediately after nominations close. We encourage you to start collating your submission information now using the Criteria Document as a guide.  Tip: The sooner you start collating information about your nomination, the easier it is to meet the nomination deadline 
Entries may be entered into more than one category. The nomination form will need to be completed and the nomination fee must be paid for each entry.
The word count for each criteria is set to 200 words. Please take this as a guide. When you enter your submission in the portal, you will be able to go beyond 200 words if necessary. However, you will not be able to exceed 250 words.
