Generator Award for Innovation
This Award recognises innovation that creates significant advancement and improvement within a retirement living community. Innovation can relate to financing, design, construction, sustainability, use of technology, improved processes and programs or other factors that benefit a retirement living community. The innovation must be replicable and of broad benefit to the retirement living industry and/or the community.

It combines an administration dashboard for operators with a user-friendly Client Portal for residents, empowering efficient operations and meaningful engagement. Custom-built for the retirement sector, it enhances resident satisfaction, integrates with asset management systems, and supports HomeCare and Aged Care applications. The app champions social inclusion, environmental sustainability, and privacy, establishing itself as a model for innovation and a new technological benchmark in the retirement industry.
Redefining Village Insurance

Aveo’s response to industry-wide escalation in insurance premiums was to redefine the model in collaboration with residents and the insurance sector. The Discretionary Aggregate Deductible Fund solution is a blueprint for retirement operators with dispersed communities and variable risk profiles, delivering 34% in cost savings in the first year and surplus for future years, along with improved coverage especially for disaster-prone regional area, standardised excess fees, and peace of mind for thousands of retirees.

Aveo’s Extreme Weather Readiness Program was pioneered in 2020 and has paved the way for retirement operators to navigate extreme weather and natural disasters. The forward-thinking, high-value Program applies to all villages and offices,
with rigorous site-specific assessments, response plans including real-time alert system, practical drills and standard onsite equipment. Put into action during bushfires in 2020, floods in 2022, and a cyclone in 2023, it has markedly improved Aveo’s culture of safety and readiness, operational continuity, and community resilience.

Ignite Your Passion
Keyton
The Ignite Your Passion program launched by Keyton in 2024 is unique to the industry, providing residents with the opportunity to apply for funding annually to create or pursue a new project or initiative that has positive outcomes. Keyton received 262 applications from 69 villages across the country and was delighted to be able to support 181 applications across 63 villages and 50 different types of activities. Importantly, Keyton has seen a significant increase in resident engagement, satisfaction and wellbeing.
