Famey is a proud Githabul woman from Northern NSW and is the Chief Executive for the NSW Aboriginal Housing Office. She has over 22 years’ experience working with Aboriginal communities across NSW, in both government and non-for-profit sectors.

Famey’s culture and family influence her career heavily and she takes those lessons into all her professional interactions with a broad range of stakeholders.

A large portion of her career has been spent working within social housing. Growing up in social housing and having much of her family residing in it still, it is a sector she holds close to her heart and advocates strongly for in her role within the NSW Government.
