Support for CBD must continueTownsville City Council must engage with the local business community to determine the best way to support the ongoing revitalisation of the CBD.The loss of Bill Grant as Chairman of Townsville’s CBD Taskforce comes as a major blow to the CBD’s successful revitalization program.While there has been criticism of the lack of decision-making authority afforded to the Taskforce, its purported lack of success is not due to an absence of willingness or expertise of its membership, Chris Mountford, Queensland Executive Director of the Property Council of Australia says.”Bill Grant is a highly respected property expert, who brought with him many years of experience in delivering successful projects, such as Southbank in Brisbane.
