Property Council welcomes NSW Government’s revision of working from home public health order
The Property Council has welcomed today’s announcement that the NSW Government will revise its public health order on working from home from 14 December.
Property Council NSW Executive Director, Jane Fitzgerald, said this would allow employers and organisations to facilitate a return to CBD office workplaces.
“Bringing people back to COVID-safe workplaces will help to re-energise our CBD and support all of those businesses who rely on people going to and from their workplace.
“It’s also good for businesses and their staff as we know the office workplace is a great driver of productivity, innovation, team culture and cohesion.
“Our members who own and manage CBD office buildings have already put in place procedures and practices that will help people come back to the workplace safely.”
Ms Fitzgerald endorsed the call by the Transport and Health Ministers for people to wear masks on public transport.
“Wearing a mask on public transport is a simple and effective way of minimising the risk of spreading COVID-19.
“It’s an easy thing to do so we can all enjoy the benefits of being able to live and work with fewer health restrictions.”
