NSW dominates Australia’s top property Awards
New South Wales has dominated Australia’s most prestigious property awards, with CommBank Stadium, Sydney Business Park and Sixty Martin Place among the sweep of national winners.
The annual Property Council of Australia / Rider Levett Bucknall Innovation and Excellence Awards were held at a gala dinner in Sydney this evening, where NSW took top honours in eight of the 19 award categories.
Property Council of Australia Chief Executive, Ken Morrison, said this was a particularly important year for the Awards to recognise the people, projects and pioneering innovation in Australian property development.
“After an incredibly challenging year, it has been an absolute pleasure to come together to celebrate the outstanding achievements in our industry,” Mr Morrison said.
“New South Wales’s contribution to diversity, and innovation and excellence across the residential, commercial and tourism and leisure sectors is extraordinary and continue to contribute to the body of knowledge that advances our industry, people and communities across Australia.”
Property Council of Australia NSW Executive Director, Luke Achterstraat, said he was proud of the state’s representation in the national awards.
“Our state’s people and projects comprised 46 of the 120 finalists, and it’s wonderful to see so many outstanding developments recognised with our industry’s top honours,” Mr Achterstraat said.
“The efforts we see in our state in innovation and excellence are incredible, and these awards are a credit to the businesses and individuals who have achieved so much.”
RLB has partnered with the Property Council to present the awards program for the past 39 years.
RLB Managing Director, Stephen Mee, congratulated the award winners for their contribution to their industry and their communities.
“New South Wales continues to advance the frontiers of innovative and sustainable design, leisure development, and our workplaces of the future and it is a credit to our industry to see so many outstanding projects recognised,” Mr Mee said.
