Jess Caire appointed Property Council Queensland Executive Director

The Property Council of Australia today announced the appointment of Ms Jess Caire as its Queensland Executive Director.

Ms Caire assumes the role after serving as the organisation’s Deputy Executive Director for the past two and a half years.

Prior to joining the Property Council, Ms Caire worked as the Executive Manager, Stakeholder Relations at the Property Exchange Australia (PEXA), and ran and owned her own consulting and conveyancing businesses.

Property Council of Australia Chief Executive Mike Zorbas said he was delighted to appoint Ms Caire to the role following an extensive recruitment process which spoke to both the high quality of the field and the strength of our internal talent.

“Jess is a well-respected and highly regarded leader in the Queensland Division and our national organisation,” Mr Zorbas said.

“Jess’ drive, commitment to excellence and knowledge of the issues will allow her to champion the remarkable city building work of our members,” he said.

Queensland Division President and CEO of Howard Smith Wharves Luke Fraser welcomed Ms Caire’s appointment.

“This is a big year for the property industry and I know Jess will be a strong voice for our members through the upcoming elections,” Mr Fraser said.

“Jess has made an incredible impact in her time with the Property Council.

“Division Council and I are delighted to work with Jess and I know she will hit the ground running with a great deal of member support and enthusiasm,” he said.

Ms Caire said she was thrilled to step into the role.

“It’s a privilege to work with such passionate members and lead conversations that matter so much to the lives of Queenslanders,” Ms Caire said.

“I look forward to continuing the positive relationships and solutions-focused work of the Property Council in Queensland, and advocating on behalf of our members with strength and integrity,” she said.

Mr Zorbas again paid tribute to the remarkable outgoing Queensland Executive Director, Jen Williams, who last year announced her resignation, effective at the end of February to take a short break before pursuing other career opportunities after 12 years’ service to the organisation.

“Jen has been a powerful advocate, and a compassionate leader. She has always championed our industry with passion and led her team with pride,” Mr Zorbas said.

“In so doing Jen has helped our members to make Queensland cities better.

“For that and her friendship, the Board, Queensland Division, our executive and I offer our warmest thanks,” he said.

Ms Caire will commence in the role on 29 February. Ms Williams last day will be 28 February.
