Imagine Projects Award for Salesperson of the Year

A passion for retirement living, exceptional customer service and strong sales results have led to Jane Flynn being named the winner of the 2019 Imagine Projects Award for Salesperson of the Year at the National Retirement Living Awards.

Jane is the sales professional for Stockland’s Mernda Village in Melbourne’s northern suburbs. The village includes 275 units and started construction in 2013. It hosts a bowling and croquet green, a gym, BBQ areas, clubhouse and indoor swimming pool.

Jane was instrumental in the launch of Mernda Village where she has delivered exceptional service to customers and achieved consistent sales results. She has exceeded her targets in the past 12 months, with an inquiry to conversion rate which is double the national average, even in a moderating housing market. Her experience includes stepping up to assist with village management while continuing to deliver her sales targets.

Jane has a thorough understanding of the retirement living value proposition for customers and the options available for them. She’s so committed to retirement living she moved into Mernda Village herself, where she now lives and works.

She takes her customers on the sales journey ensuring they have all the information they need, along with their extended family or carers, to understand their purchase. This includes a structured appointment process, trial stays and information events with resident ambassadors and a ‘resident buddy’ program to help their transition into village life.

The Imagine Projects Award for Saleperson of the Year was presented as part of the National Retirement Living Awards which recognise the contribution and achievements across all areas of the retirement living sector by the people and companies helping ensure senior Australians have an enjoyable retirement.

There are currently more than 180,000 people living in more than 2,300 retirement villages across Australia. With 22 per cent of Australians expected to be over the age of 65 by 2054, the need for comfortable, affordable and supportive retirement living options is ever-increasing.
