COCKBURN GATEWAY & CLAREMONT QUARTER TAKE OUT MAJOR WA CENTRE AWARDS
Cockburn Gateway Shopping Centre and Claremont Quarter took out the top prizes at this year’s WA Shopping Centre of the Year Awards.
Dubbed retail’s night of nights, the SCOTY’s was a night to remember as centres and management teams from across the state were awarded for their tremendous efforts in marketing and centre management.
Big congratulations to the team at JLL, who won the Southern Cross Group Services Shopping Centre of The Year Award, for Cockburn Gateway, which is owned by the Perron Group, as well as a host of other awards.
Hawaiian’s Claremont Quarter was a big winner on the night scooping the award for Marketing Manager of The Year, Best Digital Initiative, Best Marketing Sales Promotion, and Best Branding/ Repositioning in the Little Guns category. (GLA below 45,000m2 & over 20,000m2)
“What it means to be a Western Australian shopping centre is rapidly changing,” Property Council WA Executive Director Joe Lenzo said.
“Drawing on lessons from over east and internationally, but filtered through a uniquely west coast lens, our shopping centres are transforming into true centres of activity.”
Lakeside Joondalup went home with the award for best Marketing Community, while Cockburn Gateway also walked away with best Development/ Redevelopment for the Big Guns category (GLA over 45,000m2)
JLL & Cockburn Gateway also won Best Sales Promotion. Karrinyup Shopping Centre was another big winner, taking out the awards for Best Digital Initiative, while AMP’s Garden City won best Development/ Redevelopment.
In the Little Guns category, Stockland Baldivis won best Marketing Community while Claremont Quarter took the award for Sales Promotion and Branding/ Repositioning.
For Little/Mini Guns (GLA below 45,000m2) Warnbro Centre won best Development/ Redevelopment for the A Whole Lot More campaign.
For the Mini Guns(GLA below 20,000m2), Floreat Forum won Best Marketing Community for the Random Acts of Kindness campaign while Livingstone Marketplace won Best Digital Initiative for Where Do Dreams Come True?
JLL also took home awards for marketing sales promotion for Confetti System: presented by Enex100 and the Marketing Community award for Random Acts of Kindness at Floreat Forum.
