Celebrating Women: Property Council Hunter Leadership Event
The Property Council of Australia will tomorrow (Friday 6 June) host a special Women in Leadership event in Newcastle, bringing together three of the Hunter’s most inspiring and accomplished women for an afternoon of powerful conversation and connection.
Held at Merewether Surf House, the event will feature The Hon. Jodie Harrison MP, NSW Minister for Women; Jude Munro AO, Chair of Newcastle Airport and a renowned leader in planning and public policy; and Lisa Sutton, founder and CEO of award-winning creative agency Enigma.
Property Council Hunter Regional Director Nuatali Nelmes said the event highlights the impact of women leading in government, business and community.
“This is a rare opportunity to hear first-hand from women who have forged extraordinary careers and broken barriers in their fields,” Ms Nelmes said.
- Jodie Harrison MP has led efforts to help women re-enter the workforce through programs such as the Future Women’s Jobs Academy – building confidence, independence and economic participation across NSW.
- Jude Munro AO is a trailblazer in planning and infrastructure, having served as CEO of four metropolitan councils including Brisbane and Adelaide, led the Victorian Planning Authority, and chaired more than 20 corporate and community boards.
- Lisa Sutton built Enigma from the ground up into one of Australia’s most successful independent agencies, known for its bold creative thinking and commitment to clients and team. Enigma remains the only regional agency ranked among Australia’s Top 50.
“This event is about celebrating women in leadership in its many forms and making space for the next generation to be inspired, challenged and empowered,” Ms Nelmes said.
The event coincides with the last day for nominations (6 June) for the Property Council’s 500 Women in Property, program, connecting emerging female talent with senior sponsors to help accelerate their careers.
“Now in its 10th year, 500 Women in Property has supported more than 5,000 women across Australia. I encourage women in the region to find out more – it’s a valuable platform to build networks, gain visibility, and unlock new opportunities in the property sector,” Ms Nelmes said.
