Canberra retirement living home takes out national awardCanberra’s largest aged care provider has been presented with a national award at the 2015 Property Council of Australia / Rider Levett Bucknall Innovation and Excellence Awards. Goodwin Aged Care Services Limited, which operates four retirement living villages across the ACT, won the Lend Lease Award for Best Retirement Living Development for its Monash Green Retirement Village.”Monash Green is an impressive development that underscores why downsizing can mean upsizing in terms of amenity, liveability and community engagement,” says the Property Council of Australia’s Chief Executive, Ken Morrison.”We know that the number of seniors wanting to live in retirement villages will double by 2025 – rising to 382,000 nationally. Community facilities – including a clubhouse, mini golf course, bowling green, café, hairdresser and other community services – are co-located for convenience.
