The Property Council of Australia is delighted to announce that the WA property industry raised $18,480 for Mission Australia at the Annual Property Council Christmas Lunch.
The funds will go towards the well-known Christmas Lunch in the Park event, which gives homeless and underprivileged West Australians an enjoyable Christmas meal as well as packs of essentials.
The funds raised by the Property Council will fund the lunch for 900 people, 60% of the total event.
Congratulations to the winner of the raffle who walked away with a prize pack worth $5,500, Ms Kellie McGivern, Associate Cox Architecture and Design.
“ Homelessness is something the property industry is committed to tackling not just through this initial fundraiser but through our advocacy work in the coming year,” Property Council WA Executive Director Lino Iacomella said.
“ We will work alongside government, industry and charitable organisations to ensure that all West Australians have access to safe and secure housing in times of need,” Mr Iacomella said.
Property Council WA President Tanya Trevisan said: “ I am so delighted by the generosity of the Property Council members and guests who attended our Christmas Lunch who made this possible. I’d especially like to thank the Property Council team along with the team from Mission Australia (WA) for organising this raffle and the donors of the amazing $5500 raffle prize: AMP Capital, ISPT, Joondalup Golf Resort, Living Edge, Mirvac, Multiplex, the Property Council and TRG Properties. The great fun ‘end of year’ event was a huge success on so many levels,” she said.
