Property Council to unveil ideas to revitalise Perth CBD

  • September 19, 2017

The Property Council WA is set to release a report outlining key initiatives to revitalize Perth CBD on June 16.

“The Property Council through this report, has sought to gain feedback, insights and ideas from all stakeholders of the Perth CBD to stimulate discussion and debate,” Property Council WA Executive Director Lino Iacomella said.

“Now is the time for a new strategy for Perth CBD and a shared vision to take advantage of new investments to create a world-class capital city.

“Big (and Small) Ideas for Perth is a call to action for all those with an interest in the central and inner city. These include State and local government, agencies, business, and the community.

“Perth is facing significant economic challenges following the decline of the mining sector, but from tough times arise opportunities to push for change.

“This report sets out initiatives to help overcome our economic challenges and trigger renewed focus on the inner city as an engine for WA’s economic growth.

“There is no silver bullet that will fix WA’s economic woes but what is clear is that a unified vision and approach is needed if we are to reposition Perth city into a world-class, global attraction,” Mr Iacomella said.
