Following an offer to take up a leadership role with the ACT not-for-profit, Community Services #1, Merlin Kong has tendered his resignation as the ACT Executive Director of the Property Council of Australia.
“It is disappointing to lose Merlin after such a short period of time, but we wish him well in his new role and thank him for his work and the substantial progress we have made on many issues during his time as Executive Director”, said Ken Morrison, Chief Executive of the Property Council of Australia.
“In consultation with the President of the division we will be appointing an Acting Executive Director from our existing ranks to ensure strong support is provided to the division during this transition period. Merlin will be assisting during that handover period.
“We will also be moving very quickly into a recruitment phase to fill this significant role.
“This is an important time for the ACT with an imminent election and the Property Council will continue to advocate for policies that advance the economic prospects of the capital.”
