Kirsty Rourke is the founder of Social Impact Capital Australia and is spearheading the innovative EmpowerHer Housing initiative – highlighting her dedication to social change within real estate. This initiative, focusing on social and affordable housing tailored to the unique needs of women affected by domestic violence, age, or homelessness, underscores her commitment to meaningful social impact.
Previously, as the Chief Executive Officer of the City of Brisbane Investment Corporation (CBIC), Kirsty managed Brisbane City Council’s $360M Urban Wealth Fund. Her leadership was instrumental in delivering strong financial outcomes for the city of Brisbane, including two consecutive years of record profits, capitalising on property development opportunities within Brisbane, and investing in a diverse portfolio of assets across the eastern seaboard.
Kirsty’s commitment to the Property Council of Australia is demonstrated by over seven years of service on various committees, including her current role as the Chair of the Queensland Commercial Office Committee. She is dedicated to the not-for-profit sector, serving as an ambassador for the Vinnies CEO Sleepout, on the Property Industry Foundation’s Queensland Board of Advisors and as a Director on the Board of the Institute of Modern Art.
