The Property Development Expert course includes the attendance of 3 elective courses below, and the formal assessment process required to acquire your Industry Diploma.
Pre-requisite: These courses are for those who have completed the Property Development Advanced course and have some level of experience in the industry.
The Property Development Electives provide a detailed understanding of specific issues which relate to the successful outcome of a property development. Each elective designed to enhance the management performance of its participants.
The written assessment requires you to undertake a Development report based on a chosen site with a time-frame of 3 months to complete and is then formally assessed.
- Feasibility Workshop
- The Feasibility Workshop will help you realise the value of your land or asset and looks at the viability of a proposed development/redevelopment
- This course is ideal for anyone who wants to explore the key issues in developing a feasibility model. This workshop will help you grasp the concepts and develop a deeper understanding of how and why to use various feasibility calculations. You will need a basic level of understanding and experience in using Microsoft Excel.
- Risk Management
- This course provides an introduction to identifying, measuring, pricing and managing risk
- This course is ideal for those who want to explore risk management, one of the core skills a successful developer requires. Do you need to understand the major risk management concepts faced by developers? This is a perfect introduction to tools such as market analysis, risk measurement and effective strategies for dealing with risk in property development projects.
- Legal Framework
- This course ties the legal issues of property development back to risk mitigation and gives you an awareness of dispute resolution and methodologies available to prevent disputes
