Members Briefing: Construction Dewatering
17 September 2024 @ 12:00 - 13:00 AEST
FreeWaterNSW operates the state’s dams, capturing and storing water, and then supplying it ready for distribution – for the environment, agriculture, industry and the community.
With 41 major dams and hundreds of waterways across the state, they play a vital role at the source of the state’s water, delivering two thirds of all water used in NSW.
WaterNSW will present an overview on construction dewatering, including the high-level processes, what is required from an applicant for the different types of dewatering applications to ensure a timely decision can be made, and why a hydrogeological assessment is required to ensure minimal harm to groundwater sources.
You will hear from Tracie Scarfone who manages the team handling dewatering applications at WaterNSW and has 35 years experience in the water sector.
