Cathy McGuane will be speaking at the inaugural Townsville International Women’s Day event, discussing her 30 years of experience in senior leadership roles, her insights on women’s progress in property, and the sector’s drive toward inclusivity.
Cathy served as Chair of Stadiums Qld from 2018-2025, leading significant achievements such as transforming strategy and governance, setting records for event attendance and economic impact, and contributing to the successful 2032 Games bid. She also lobbied for increased funding, helped launch the Townsville stadium, and created a forum for female directors in sports.
In addition to her role at Stadiums Qld, Cathy has a 30-year career in financial services, including leadership positions in banking, superannuation, and health insurance. She’s the Executive Manager of Member Experience for TUH Health Fund and authored Financial Fitness for Kids, which sold over 120,000 copies. Cathy is a member of Chief Executive Women and has been recognized with an ASFA Award for her contributions.
The event will feature networking, drinks, canapes, and inspiring speakers, welcoming everyone, including men who support women’s advancement in the property sector. Tickets are available for this inclusive celebration of #IWD2025.
