Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) is a pervasive social issue affecting 1 in 4 women and 1 in 15 men. It is also the leading cause of homelessness among women and children in Australia. The property industry plays a crucial role in addressing DFV, both as an employer and in the development of housing.
This event will explore how the property sector can influence and support the prevention of DFV. You’ll hear from DFV advocate Kay McGrath, who will provide an in-depth overview of her work in this space. Following her presentation, Kay will join a panel discussion with Tim Forrester from Aria and Jo Mason from Work Haven. The panel will be moderated by Kathy Mac Dermott, a key figure in the Champions of Change movement.
