The Victorian Unlocking Data Centres half-day event was a huge success. Hosted by our own Chris Wild, the event featured leading experts discussing the priorities, planning frameworks, sustainability goals, and regulations shaping Australia’s digital future and our role in the Asia-Pacific region.
We heard insightful keynote presentations from Belinda Dennet (AirTrunk) and Sass Jelili (CBRE), along with engaging panel discussions featuring Natalie Amborosa (GHD), Vishnu Balachandran (Turner & Townsend), Josh Maitland (Ethos Urban), Dean Symington (Architectus), Sallie Bowtell (DLA Piper), Joe Craparotta (Schneider Electric), and Luke Jackson (JLL).
As the day progressed, it became clear that no single part of the system can tackle these challenges alone. A broader, industry-wide conversation is needed—one that brings together investors, developers, planners, policymakers, utilities, and advisors.
A big thank you to our event partners, Architectus, dormakaba, Ethos Urban, GHD, Procore, and Turner & Townsend.
