The Build to Rent Outlook Lunch, bringing the industry together for a comprehensive analysis of the sector’s current landscape and future prospects.
We heard a keynote presentation from Kris Daff (Assemble) who discussed the rapid rise of Build-to-Rent (BTR) in Australia, with nearly 40,000 homes expected by 2029. Backed by institutional investors and supportive policies, the sector is now focused on scaling, delivery, and long-term growth.
We also heard a panel discussion from Angela Buckley (Mirvac), David Cannington (Investa) Christian Graham (HOME) with moderator Steph Harper (CBRE). The panel discussed sector growth, with many new developments launching in late 2024, and how the industry can sustain growth, maintain development pace, and secure effective policy support amid rising construction costs and economic challenges.
