Brisbane is back in the office, with a buoyant local business sector driving some of the lowest commercial office vacancy levels in the nation. The latest commercial office breakfast seminar held on Wednesday morning, the 28th of May hosted by Herbert Smith Freehills explored what office tenants are looking for in new projects and lease renewals.
Keynote speaker Dirk Van Velden, Head of Tenant Representation – JLL expertly took us through current market and broader economic conditions to understand how businesses are enticing staff back to the office. Following the presentation Dirk jumped on a panel with QLD President Bradley Norris, Regional Development Director, QLD, WA & SA –Charter Hall Group, Jayson Blight, Director- Blight Rayner Architecture and Penny Douglas, Director- Urbis , which was moderated by Julie Jankowski, Partner – Herbert Smith Freehills to discuss office design, the amenities needed in an office district and how landlords are working to attract new tenants.
