For the engaging twilight event Suburban Retrofits: A Global on Thursday 4 June, hosted by McCullough Robbertson we were joined by international author and keynote speaker Prof. Ellen Dunham – Jones, Director Urban Design Program- Georgia Tech who shared insights on successful adaptive reuse and mixed-use transformations of ageing suburban sites—including retail, industrial areas, office parks, and even an airport.
Joining Ellen on a panel of local developers and planners was Amy Marsden, Director Planning- Therefor Group and Andrew Thompson, Partner- Fluent Property, which was expertly moderated by Ross Elliott, Chair – Better Suburbs Initiati, who took us through their experience of retrofitting projects right here in Brisbane.
