Home Property Australia Safeguarding Property Industry Assistance

Safeguarding Property Industry Assistance

  • September 11, 2017

The Property Council has recently provided a submission to the Queensland Competition Authority (QCA) on the Draft Catalogue of Assistance Measures for the review into Queensland Government industry assistance.

The Draft Catalogue is an appendix of all industry assistance measures implemented by State Government departments and the purpose of these programs, within broad categories.

The submission stresses the economic importance of a number of measures that have been captured in the catalogue, including:

  • Home buyer concessions
  • Transfer Duty on residential property, and
  • The Priority Development Infrastructure Co-investment Program

These programs are crucial to the continued contribution of the property industry to the Queensland economy, and the Property Council would support the QCA’s consideration of their full value during the ongoing review.
