The Property Council has provided comment to Queensland Urban Utilities on the draft Interim Connections Policy (ICP).
The Property Council has been engaged with the development of, and transition towards the Utility Model since 2013. Over that time we have consistently raised concerns that the water distributor-retailers will not be adequately prepared on 1 July to undertake the additional duties required.
The submission focuses on the need for more information regarding the proposed fees and charges schedule as well as recommending amendments to coincide with the State Government’s infrastructure charges reform.
Additionally, the submission requests further information on the management of existing and staged applications during the handover period.
