NATIONAL ENERGY RETAIL LAW (QUEENSLAND) BILL 2014

  • September 07, 2017

The Property Council has lodged a submission on the National Energy Retail Law (Queensland) Bill 2014.

The aim of the Bill is to assist Queensland’s transition to the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) framework, creating greater certainty and efficiency for the operation of embedded networks in Queensland.

The Bill seeks to harmonise Queensland’s laws with New South Wales, South Australia, Tasmania and the Australian Capital Territory, who have already adopted the National Energy Customer Framework.

The Bill is currently before the State Development, Infrastructure and Industry Committee, who will report back to Parliament by 28 August, 2014.
