Inquiry into the Strategic Review of the Functions of the Integrity Commissioner

  • September 18, 2017
The Property Council provided feedback on the Finance and Administration Committee’s inquiry into the Strategic Review of the Functions of the Integrity Commissioner

The Property Council opposed the recommendations of the review which relate to expanding the Integrity Commissioner’s lobbying regulation functions (recommendation nos. 7, 9 and 13). These recommendations represented a significant increase in the regulatory burden of the Integrity Act 2009 (the Act) without any discernable public benefit.
