INDUSTRY RESPONDS TO DRAFT DA RULES

  • September 20, 2017

The Property Council has responded to the Queensland Government’s draft Development Assessment Rules, which will form an integral part of the new planning framework due to come into effect in July 2017.

The Planning Act 2016 provides for the Development Assessment Rules (DA Rules) as a new statutory instrument that will set out a standardised development assessment process across Queensland.

While welcoming the retention of many of the elements of the current Integrated Development Assessment System in the draft DA rules, the Property Council has suggested some minor improvements.
