Message from the President
The property sector is a major contributor to the prosperity of our state, generating over 200,000 jobs and contributing $6.4 billion in taxes. Beyond this, our industry is central to building quality environments that will be enjoyed for many generations to come.
Paige Walker – West Australian President
Property is one of the most important industries in Australia today. Not only is it one of the largest employers, providing careers and opportunities for Australians, it also creates the places in which we live, work and play.
Through creating considered and unique urban environments, we have an opportunity to build communities fit for the future, where people can thrive in nurturing surroundings that promote health and happiness,
The Property Council of Australia is the peak property industry body that undertakes key advocacy on behalf of us all in areas such as taxation, improved planning outcomes and positive government policy; and drives thought leadership throughout the industry.
If you change the property industry, you change our cities and our communities. The work of the Property Council of Australia is important to all Australians and your support is vital.
Your Property Council of Australia Membership drives value for your business through our many networking events, corporate business lunches and breakfasts and Member committees. It also allows the Property Council of Australia to undertake specific projects such as our “Future Directions” for up and coming leaders and “Women in Property” that encourages more women to take leadership roles in the industry.
I’d personally like to thank our Members for their continued support and guidance, as well as thank our dedicated Property Council of WA team who tirelessly work hard for our industry every day.
The Property Council of Australia values all of our Members and the contribution they play to changing the landscape of the property industry. We thank you again for being part of the change with us and contributing to Western Australia’s legacy.
